As the summer nears, so to are celebrations for Canada’s 150th birthday.

Kapuskasing’s first taste of Canada’s summer-long celebration is to be hosted by the local Jubilee Singers.

Directress of the Choir Louise Fortin says their show is to educate and entertain the community on the history of Canadian music.

Fortin says she has invited different local musicians from the community to help represent the variety that is Canadian music.

The ‘Something to Sing About this land of ours’ concert begins 7:30pm tonight at the KDHS auditorium.
