Kapuskasing is cutting costs in 2017 budget.
A town of Kapuskasing press release says non-union employees will not be getting salary increases.
Also there will be the elimination of temporary positions at Public Works and the Sports Palace.
Reductions also include the cancellation of new capital projects, and reduction of economic development funding.
The release also states the cost cutting measures are to reduce accumulated debts and to rebuild the reserve funds for future projects.
