A precautionary evacuation is taking place from Kashechewan due to community flooding.
Evacuation flights were initiated on Sunday, with a total of 450-500 people being brought into Kapuskasing through the day.
The first 500 evacuees are expected to remain at local motels.
Meals and emergency supplies will be provided for evacuees at the Civic Centre Auditorium.
Flights will continue through the week until residents with special needs or most vulnerable are found a living space.
