Seniors in the area will be able to learn more about technology.

NEOnet has received 254 thousand dollars from the Ontario Trillium Foundation for its Technology Training for Seniors project.

NEOnet says this project is geared towards teaching seniors digital literacy and to connect them with family, friends and social economic services online.

There will be workshops throughout the area including Timmins, Cochrane, Gogama and the James Bay Coast.

NEOnet says this project will take place over a 24 month period.
