Chip Stand Owner Says Supporting His Stand Is Supporting The Local Economy

When the Groundhog Chip Stand makes its way out to Highway 11, it’s a sign of spring in the Kapuskasing area.

What people may not know is how the stand does more for the local community than simply feeding them.

19-year-old owner Alex Albert says his product and profit remains within the community.

Albert says buying from his stand means supporting the local economy.

He also says he is sponsoring Chanelle Larabie for the upcoming Miss North Ontario pageant.
