Kapuskasing no longer has an Economic Development Officer.
Former Economic Development Officer Andre Robichaud’s role has been eliminated as a full-time position according to Kapuskasing CAO Guylain Baril.
Baril says the town is still in talks with Robichaud in regards to some contract work in the area.
Baril says the reason for eliminating the role was due to the position not being a necessary for the mandated services in town.
Town council will next meet in a week and a half on Monday, April 17th, 2017.
