A hospital labour spokesman says it’s not enough for the NDP and PCs to say high hydro rates are behind hospital woes.
Michael Hurley says the opposition have to say how they would resolve issues like staff cuts and hospital care.
Hurley is the president of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions.
He says it’s not enough for the opposition to blame hospital cutbacks on high electricity costs.

Hurley says hospital budgets haven’t kept up with inflation the last eight years and that creates an under-funding situation which leads to cuts.
Hurley says the opposition have to tell the public how they would resolve the under-funding problem.
