Bob Izumi and his wife Sandy were in Cochrane yesterday visiting the Polar Bear Habitat. Neither had seen polar bears before and were thrilled to receive a private “behind the scenes” tour from Habitat manager Karen Cummings. Izumi said this about his experience:
Izumi is in town for a show they will be filming today through Thursday on Big Abitibi Lake.
Cochrane Mayor Peter Politis was on hand for the meet and greet. Bob Izumi proved to be as gracious and personable in the flesh as his reputation suggests. His group stayed for about an hour then headed off to their base camp at Dunwright Outfitters at the new lodge on Big Abitibi Lake.
