First Nations Still Without Clean Drinking Water

Algoma Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha went after the Liberals over the lack of clean drinking water on many Ontario First Nations.  He says this should not be happening in a province as wealthy as Ontario.   Mantha says some First Nations in the north have been under boil water orders for years.  In accusing the Liberals of not making this a priority, Mantha comes close to saying First Nations are treated as second class.  He says in Southern Ontario a water advisory wouldn’t last longer than 48 hours.   However Premier Kathleen Wynne says ensuring First Nations have clean drinking water is a priority.  Wynne says the goal is to see boil water advisories end on all Aboriginal reserves.
