The OPP is warning that there is an emergency scam or ‘grandfather scam’ taking place which involves fraudsters pretending to be with the Canadian Revenue Agency.
OPP Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio says the best way to avoid such a scam is to take preventative measures.
Nuccio says there is no urgency to be sending money transfers or financial information to anyone claiming to be from the CRA.
