Debates have started for the NDP leadership race.
Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus joined the three other candidates in Ottawa on Sunday for the first of a series of debates.
Angus says the response has been terrific.
Angus says the discussions revolved around job, environmental and First Nation issues.
He says he is excited for upcoming debates in Montreal on March 26th and Sudbury on May 28th.
The NDP will choose a new leader in October.
