The recent hydro cuts are a short term fix to a long term problem, according to Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson.
Premier Kathleen Wynne has announced an additional 17 per cent energy rate cut on top of the eight per cent HST rebate that began on January 1st.
Bisson says in the short term you will see a reduction on your hydro bill, but after the next election your bills are likely to go back up again.
Bisson says this is a way for the Liberal government to punt the problem until after the election.
