First Nation Chiefs are in Toronto for an annual health forum.
This year’s theme is Transforming the Future of Community Health and Wellness.
Grand Council Chief Pat Madahbee says some health services have improved for First Nations.
Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day is also at the forum.
Day says there are still reserves that have major problems like suicides and violence.
Day also adds that on some reserves, children live in third-world conditions that we turn a blind eye to.
First Nation leaders say although some health services have improved on First Nations, more can still be done.
