The North East LHIN is encouraging diabetics to visit a Diabetes Education Program. That includes people who think their diabetes is under control.
The LHIN says DEPs are for everyone with the disease. That’s because diabetes may not make a person feel sick as it progresses leading to things like heart disease, kidney, eye and feet problems, and amputations.
The LHIN says its 23 DEPs give people access to a team that specializes in diabetes which makes managing the disease much easier. Go to the North East LHIN’s website for more details.
