Brown bashes LHIN hirings, launches Northern Driving Tour

PC leader Patrick Brown is critical of Premier Kathleen Wynne adding 84 high profile positions to the Local Health Integration Networks.

Brown says these new employees will serve the LHINs in vice-presidential roles. However the Tory leader says the money would be better spent if it was used to hire frontline healthcare workers.

Brown says the Liberals have already created a bloated bureaucracy and the addition of these 84 positions just adds more red tape.

This comes as Brown launches his 2nd Annual Northern Driving Tour this morning. He’ll be visiting Sault Ste. Marie, Chapleau, Timmins, Kapuskasing, New Liskeard, Cochrane, Haileybury and North Bay. Brown says he’s looking forward to hearing what Northerners have to say.
