Kapuskasing high school students and OPP officers will be experiencing what it’s like to be homeless. This is in partnership with the Push for Change Campaign focused on ending youth homelessness.
The students and police will be building shelters in Riverside Park and spending the day in them today. Executive Director and former street youth Joe Roberts says having youth do a homelessness experiment like this one sparks a much needed conversation:
Students and police will also be collecting food and clothing to give to the local food bank.
