Health unit encouraging people to attend immunization clinic

The Porcupine Health Unit is hoping for a good turn out to its immunization clinics over the winter months.

The local health unit says one of the big reasons residents use the clinics is because there are many vaccines available for free which are not publicly funded.

Parents are being asked to check their children’s and their own immunization records as many schoolboards in the region require them to be up-to-date.

The clinics are appointment only and can be made directly through your local office in Hearst, Kapuskasing and Cochrane.

The first clinic is set for Thursday, February 2nd in Kapuskasing.
