OPP say no ice is completely safe

OPP in Northeastern Ontario are putting out an ice advisory after a North Bay area man went through ice and died last week.  The message from the detachments is No Ice is Completely Safe.  Police say don’t go on ice that’s slushy, close to moving water or just recently froze.  And when on the ice, try not to cross it alone or during poor visibility.  Police say wear a buoyant snowmobile suit in case you break through the frozen water and carry ice picks to help get you out of the water.  Late last week, an 82-year-old man from Powassan died after he broke through ice while driving his tractor.
