Officers with the James Bay OPP did a lot of road safety and traffic enforcement in their coverage area last month including Kapuskasing and Cochrane.  In total, more than 1,500 hours were clocked in both these areas.  And in terms of service calls, police responded to almost 1,100.  Among them were 33 violent crimes and 14 incidents involving drugs.  By far the largest number of incidents were 297 provincial offenses.
