Brace for more healthcare cuts. That’s the word from Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof. Vanthof says his proof is the Financial Accountability Office which says the Liberals need to cut 2.8-billion in health by 2019 to meet their targets. The New Democrat says this isn’t what people voted for when they gave Premier Kathleen Wynne a majority government in 2014. Vanthof says healthcare in Ontario is already at a tipping point with people waiting long times for surgeries and walking into overcrowded ER’s. He says the upcoming cuts means healthcare won’t even keep up with inflation.
