If you’re looking for work and post your resume online, be careful how you respond to potential employers. A North Bay woman wasn’t careful enough and has lost $900. The woman was contacted by a fake employer who said he had work for her in North Bay. The man asked for her banking information so he could advance her $2,500. Once the money appeared in her account, the woman wired the fake employer $900 as a security deposit. Right after that, the woman learned the big cheque was a counterfeit and she was out $900 when the bank took back its money.
