The commanding officer of the Timiskaming OPP has a message for everyone as we head into Christmas. Inspector Brent Cecchini says if someone you know is impaired because of alcohol or drugs and wants to drive, call 911. Cecchini says so far this year 35 people have died on Ontario highways because the driver was high on drugs or drunk. He says the travelling public can expect a heavy R.I.D.E. presence this Christmas weekend, no matter where you are. The goal is to get everyone through the Christmas season in one piece.
