The councillors in Kapuskasing have been reassigned to different departments, boards and committees. At the council meeting Monday night, Mayor Alan Spacek gave his mid-term update and reassigned the councillors positions. Spacek says this will allow everyone to better understand the different committees. The mayor says this will allow councillors to be more efficient while working together.
Spacek says each of the councillors submitted what committees they preferred at the start of the term and he did his best to play to everyone’s strengths. Spacek is confident this approach will allow the councilors to work together on what’s best for the community.
This is the first time the councilors are being reassigned to different committee’s mid-term.
