Local Park Named After Kinsmen Club

Thanks to funding provided by the Kinsmen Club, the park at Birch and Oak Street has been renovated and has a new name. A plaque is set to go up in the park to commemorate the club for their years of service to the community.

Mayor Alan Spacek says the park will be around for many generations to come and will now be called named after the club. Spacek thanked the Kinsmen who donated $15,000 dollars to help with the construction. He says it speaks to the fabric of small communities when you have volunteers that are willing to help out like this.

The parks new name is the Kinsmen Memorial Park.
