Grandparents Allowed Visitation Rights Under New Law

It’s going to be a lot easier for grandparents to see their grandchildren after a family split up.  A Private Member’s Bill from Mike Mantha of Algoma Manitoulin granting those rights has passed third reading and is now law.  Mantha says there are many instances of grandparents being denied visitations when a husband and wife separation goes sour.  But under the new law, grandparents can get court rights to see their grand-kids despite the outcome of the parental break-up.
