Vista Radio Week Long Fundraiser Coming to an End

Over half a million dollars has been raised as a part of Vista Radio’s million dollar fundraiser week. All week long local stations with Vista across the country have been reaching out to community organizations to help make a difference during the holiday season.

The Moose in Cochrane raised money for the local food bank and in Timmins and Kapuskasing the money went to the United Way. One of the local organizations that benefits from the funding provided by the United Way is the CNIB. Executive Director for the CNIB in Northern Ontario Monique Pilkington says the United Way helps out in multiple different ways and says she’s extremely thankful for all the local support.

Although the radiothon in Kapuskasing has come to an end, Vista still has one more day to try and reach the goal of a million dollars. With some more donations expected to come in this morning, the final totals locally are still being added up.
