Two Canadian Actors Making the Trip up to Attawapiskat in Support of Indigenous Students

As a part of the I Love First Peoples campaign, 500 gift filled shoe boxes have been collected for students living in Attawapiskat. The shoe boxes are filled with everything from play-dough to Lego and even toothpaste.

Back in the summer I Love First People launched a celebrity studded campaign called I Love Attawapiskat and Canada’s Indigenous Youth, to raise awareness about the hardships faced by Indigenous children in the country.

Two well-known Canadian actors and First Nations activists will be making the trip up to Attawapiskat to deliver gift filled shoe boxes to students. Award winning Blackstone actress Michelle Thrush and Duane Howard best known for playing the Native Chief in The Revenant will be making the trip up today.
