Celebrate breastfeeding week in Kapuskasing with a flag raising ceremony at the Civic Centre.
Members of the Breastfeeding Coalition will be joined by Mayor Alan Spacek next week as a baby friendly flag is raised. The flag will fly downtown in Kapuskasing to celebrate breastfeeding week. The flag will have five white and five blue stripes that represent the ten steps required for Baby Friendly Designation.
The event is free and open to all ages. The flag raising ceremony will be Monday, October 3rd at 11:00am. Wear yellow when you come out to help promote breastfeeding as the gold standard of infant feeding.
The Breastfeeding Coalition is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports breastfeeding for Kapuskasing and the surrounding areas.
