A burning hydro pole caused a power outage in Kapuskasing and the surrounding area.
Hydro One announced early on Wednesday there would be a power interruption for Moonbeam, Nansen, O’Brien and parts of Kapuskasing between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
The company sent out a press release stating that the cause of the power loss was a hydro pole catching fire earlier on in the day.
Crews were on scene within an hour of the issue to make repairs, and were able to restore power fully to all homes within the area by lunchtime Wednesday.
