Kapuskasing’s Demonstration Farm will see some of its excess buildings finally get put to good use.
The town has made the decision based off their last economic development corporation meeting, where Chair of Finance Dave Plourde says they have agreed to rent a pair of buildings to College Boreal.
Plourde says College Boreal is very interested in using parts of their buildings located on farm grounds for multiple different purposes, most of which were not voiced at the meeting.
He says there are a lot of unused buildings available on the farm, so this was an easy decision.
He says the details of the agreement however, were not quite finalized at the most recent meeting.
However, he says there has been a verbal agreement between the town and College Boreal to have them officially begin renting the buildings this year.
