Vehicle Fire Outside Of Tembec

A vehicle fire took place outside of Tembec’s plant in Kapuskasing.

According to Fire Chief Pat Kennedy a series of explosions at 8:00pm Wednesday night outside of Tembec took place.

Kennedy says a transport truck was on fire outside of the mill, and when the fire department arrived, two other trucks began to catch fire.

He says no one was inside the vehicles, and so no one was injured in the blaze.

Kennedy also says the loud popping noises and explosions the community heard were caused from the bursting of the tires.

He says all three trucks were extinguished quickly and the damage was limited to just the vehicles alone.
