Kapuskasing town council has approved a one-time donation to Remi Ski Hill.
The ski hill in Moonbeam is receiving a lump-sum of $40,000 from the town instead of $10,000 a year for the next four years.
Chair of the Finance Committee of Kapuskasing Dave Plourde says the decision to give a one-time donation was to avoid a possible longer term.
He says that giving a one-time donation helps the town with its budget.
He also says a lump-sum donation allows the town to see how the money will be used by the ski hill moving forward.
