Power lines came down in Cochrane last night as a tree on 14th Avenue fell.
No injuries have been reported from the incidents.
High winds were responsible for property damage across town, although in most cases the impact was minor.
There has been a report of two overturned trailers, a partially collapsed garden shed and five fallen trees.
Last night’s winds approached 65 kilometers per hour in some places, making them the strongest the Cochrane community has experienced in the last five years.
