Northern Ontario student’s art picked to be on display at Queen’s Park

It’s a big honour for a high school student in Wawa.  Anna Lachine, a grade 9 student at Michipicoten High School is one of 10 students across Ontario whose art will be on display at Queen’s Park commemorating Canada’s 150th birthday.  Ontario’s Legislative Assembly asked students to submit artwork that shows what they love about Ontario.  Lachine put together a water colour and ink drawing depicting a beach area in Wawa on the shores of Lake Superior.  Her painting will be featured on the Legislative Assembly’s website.  Also, all 10 winners will have their paintings re-created as banners that will be on display all this year at Queen’s Park.
