To help grow tourism in the community, the Town of Moonbeam has been given $8,451.
The funding announced by FedNor will help develop a five year strategic plan that will benefit the local economy by identifying the best options for growing tourism while attracting new businesses.
Mayor Gilles Audet says ultimately the goal is to create more opportunities for families in the region.
The last strategic plan was put into place was back in 2009.
